Thirty years in general practice teaches you that most of medicine is listening properly, then explaining things in a way that actually makes sense. I've practised in Australia for more than three decades, with stretches as a GP in the Arabian Gulf and as a volunteer with Medecins Sans Frontieres in Iran.
Along the way I picked up postgraduate qualifications in obstetrics and paediatrics, a Masters in Family Medicine, and a spell of respiratory research in Hobart. What stayed with me from all of it is that good care is unhurried and curious.
So when we talk, expect questions, plain answers, and the time to ask your own.
Wherever your health story has taken you, I'm ready to pick it up from here.
