Two decades in, and the part of this job I value most is still the simplest one: taking the time to explain things in plain language.
I spent my early years in the public hospital system, moving through a range of specialties before I settled into general practice. That grounding taught me to stay steady when something serious comes up, and never to make you feel like a number.
These days I look after women through every stage of life, I see a lot of skin and children's health, and I spend real time on the preventative side, the small changes that keep you well rather than waiting until you're not.
My job is to turn a complicated worry into a clear, manageable plan, so you leave knowing exactly where things stand.
