I qualified at Monash back in 1998, and more than twenty-five years on I still start most consultations the same way: tell me a story. People are rarely just a symptom, and the story is usually where the real answer lives.
A lot of my work sits in family medicine, men's health and paediatrics, along with minor procedures, and I keep a steady eye on prevention so small things stay small. I came to Abby partly to give something back to rural communities, the places that don't always have a doctor close by.
Teaching the next generation of doctors keeps me sharp and reminds me to explain things plainly, so you'll always leave knowing what we found and what happens next.
The story is where we'll begin, and prevention is the direction we'll keep heading together.
