I'm Dr Matt Warburton, a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. I qualified from Birmingham in the UK in 2001 and gained postgraduate qualifications in general practice in 2006 before emigrating to Australia in 2008, working first in rural Victoria and then in Cairns for ten years, where I developed my skills in tropical medicine, skin cancer, and men's health. I've also worked for Ahpra for six years as an Advisor. I'm experienced in mental health and trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and I'm currently studying a Masters in Skin Cancer Medicine with the University of Queensland. I joined Abby Health in October 2025 and have worked casually with the practice for around six months.
