My path into medicine ran through three countries. I trained in India, practised in Canada, and have spent the last several years in Australian primary care, completing my GP training in 2024.
What drew me to general practice was its variety and its continuity, the chance to know people and walk with them through different stages of life. I take a holistic, patient-centred approach and I'm at my best in a long relationship rather than a one-off visit.
Across three countries, one thing held true for me: medicine works best as a long relationship, not a single visit.
