I trained as a rural generalist, and more than twenty years on, the variety is still what I love. Emergency work, anaesthetics, sleep medicine, and the steady rhythm of general practice over the last fifteen years or so.
A lot of what I do is the ordinary, important stuff: keeping people well, and walking alongside those living with a long-term condition. I like understanding the whole picture before we decide anything together.
Beyond the clinic, community work has always mattered to me, and I give a fair bit of my time to it.
A sudden worry or a condition you've carried for years, both belong in the same conversation, and we'll work out the next step together.
