I qualified in medicine at Queen's University Belfast back in 1997, and general practice has been my home ever since. Acute medicine and travel medicine are where a lot of my interest sits, and I'm qualified to put mental health care plans in place when someone needs that support.

Away from the clinic, I play Irish music, act, and write fiction. I mention it because the same instinct, paying attention to a story and how it's told, is part of how I listen in a consult.
